One of the most valuable by-products of pomegranate juice production is pomegranate peel. Due to its antioxidant compounds and energy-boosting properties, pomegranate peel is widely used as a feed additive in the livestock industry, increasing cow milk yield by 37%. At Dila Tarım, we utilize pomegranate peels obtained from juice production as follows:

• 50% as a feed additive in the livestock sector,
• 20% for organic fertilizer production,
• 15% as raw material for biofuel plants,
• 15% exported in dried form for herbal tea production.

Another significant by-product of pomegranate juice production is pomegranate seeds. After undergoing a specialized washing and sun-drying process, these seeds are cold-pressed to produce pomegranate seed oil. Known for its high antioxidant content, this oil is widely used in the cosmetic industry for skincare products and in the food industry as a dietary supplement.

The beet and carrot pulp generated from our vegetable and pomegranate juice blends are repurposed for livestock feed. The nutritional benefits of these pulps have been scientifically proven, playing a crucial role in enhancing meat yield in livestock.
